Amma Parenting was approached by a national distributor of employee benefit services to adapt their in-person parenting classes into online courses. These would be distributed to millions of their clients' employees around the country. However, Amma had only one short video course on infant CPR, which was almost 10 years old.
I worked with Amma's leadership and parenting educators to adapt six of their core courses into video courses that could be distributed and consumed online by anyone. This required outlining, scripting, and storyboarding each course with the associated educator. I contracted a local film crew and directed the production. This meant set styling, composing shots, and coaching onscreen talent through their first time in front of a camera. Finally, I worked with an editor and copywriter to create motion graphics, subtitles, and final edits for each course. In total we delivered 8 hours of content ready to be published.
The courses were passed along to Amma's partner to be distributed nationwide amongst their portfolio of employee benefits. The courses are also now available through Amma's site directly to their customers here in the Twin Cities Metro so that soon-to-be parents can benefit from them in case they can't attend in person.
